JUNIPER or Jupiter? Jupiter... Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, so massive it could fit over 1,300 Earths inside it, and is primarily composed of hydrogen and helium, much like a star. Known for its iconic Great Red Spot, a giant storm larger than Earth that has raged for centuries, Jupiter also has a powerful magnetic field and at least 95 known moons, including the four large Galilean moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system and even bigger than Mercury. Jupiter’s rapid rotation, completing a day in just under 10 hours, gives it a noticeable bulge at the equator and intense equatorial jet streams. Despite its size, Jupiter has no solid surface; its upper atmosphere features bands of clouds and storms, making it a dynamic and visually stunning planet. Its immense gravity also plays a key role in shaping the solar system, acting as a cosmic shield by capturing or deflecting comets and asteroids.
